Repeat Prescriptions

Non-urgent advice: Notice

Please note that the practice still requires 48 hour notice for prescriptions regardless of whether you wish to collect the prescriptions from reception desk or it is sent to your preferred pharmacy. The practice is unable to deal with any pharmacy issues you are having.

Repeat prescriptions will normally be collected by pharmacy 48 hours after placing the request with the receptionist or pharmacist, you will also need to allow another 48 hours for the pharmacy to prepare the prescription.

It is normal practice policy to prescribe 56 days supply per prescription.

Repeat prescriptions are issued to patients on long term treatment only. Your doctor will advise you when you may have a repeat prescription.

  • Repeat prescriptions are printed by the computer and monitored by the doctors.
  • As of 1st April 2023, we no longer accept prescription requests over the phone. There is a secure box on the wall across from the reception desk that can be used to drop off your prescription slip, you can register for online services (see below) or ask your preferred pharmacy to order this on your behalf.
  • You can register for Patient Online Services for ordering repeat medication. Please download the registration form. Once this has been completed, this needs to be returned to the reception desk. You may need to bring ID with you before we can register you for this service. Once registered, you will order your repeat medication in this way.

All requests sent by patients using online services are held securely and in confidence once received by the practice. Please allow 48 hours (working days) as normal.
